Lamberts was started in 1922 by an engineer from the North of England. After being a family firm for 96 years, it has recently changed hands. The new owners are Peter, owner or Superchips NZ Ltd, and John Brogden, a local engineer who used to run a large company locally but wanted to go out on his own.

Neville Andersen is our top-class engine rebuilder and has worked on cars, boats, airplanes, small engines, motorcycles and everything in between. There is nothing he can't do as he has over 40 years experience in building and restoring engines. He even worked on the WWI planes for Sir Peter Jackson, so we think he's pretty on to it. Peter Knowles has over 30 years experience as a fitter and turner and is an expert in general engineering, driveshaft balancing, welding and fabrication. No job is too big or small for either Neville or Peter.

John Brogden has been an engineer for over 35 years and specialises in farm equipment, fabrication and welding. All three have, as you'd expect, vast experience in all types of engines, from tractors, heavy plant and equipment to motorcycles, V8s, classic and even vintage models. Daimler 250 V8, Bentley MkVI 4.25 litre, Model T Ford, VFR750 V4 motorcycle, Hino trucks, Cummins heavy earth movers, buckets for diggers and graders, combine harvesters, vineyard machinery, farm contractor grass cutters, John Deere, Case, Mercedes, Holden, Ford and many Japanese model cars; all have been successfully rebuilt at Lamberts.

Tom Scott starts on Monday 14th September as our newest employee. After 9 years working in the mines in WA he has returned home. Tom is a qualified auto electrician, hydraulics specialist, diesel mechanic, and engineer, so as you can see, not much we can't do now! Toms remit will be to look after all jobs that need to be done on-site and can't be bought into Lamberts initially to be completed. He has a fully set up ute with compressor, tools, welder, genset and everything needed to work on-site.
